Omron vision sensor, ioniser and data logger
Omron’s vision sensor, ioniser and data logger can be used to eliminate static charge, for quality inspection and to record all data in production plants, particularly in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, motor vehicle and even semiconductors or digital appliance sectors and to solve quality issues.
The vision sensor uses CCD for image capture, which is suitable for 2D inspection. Vision sensors are commonly used to detect quality attributes of the product such as appearance, scratches, dents, colours, orientation, shape and size, as well as for character recognition.
The vision sensor is a total image processing system with features including a camera with integrated light source and an image processing unit with 1D/2D bar code and pharmacode reading.
With the company’s measurement algorithm, the parameter can be set through a few steps involving the operation of a touch-panel colour monitor. This ‘smart’ user interface provides simplicity of usage, allowing users to perform a complete image enhancement.
Electrical shock, hair or dust attached to products and a spinning PET bottle on the production line can be some examples of the problems caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
The ioniser sensor can detect and measure the ESD in a production area and can be used to implement countermeasures against static electricity to improve both quality and yield.
The data loggers or data recorders are used to collect and observe sensing data. Data loggers accept multi inputs in voltage, temperature, humidity, pulse and also logic format, which makes them practical in various fields.
