ifm efector TW series infrared temperature sensors

Wednesday, 19 December, 2012 | Supplied by: ifm efector pty ltd

ifm efector’s infrared temperature sensor measures temperatures up to 1350°C and is equipped with integrated displays and operating units.

Easy push-button programming ensures quick use. In addition, the sensor has scratch-resistant precision lenses for minimum sensitivity to scattered light.

Infrared sensors function independently where temperatures cannot be measured directly on the surface, which can happen when the temperature is too high. The sensors detect the emitted infrared radiation and convert it into an output signal depending on the chosen switching threshold. The unit has two independent switching outputs for universal programming.

The switching thresholds and output configurations can be set and easily reproduced via the buttons and display. Clearly visible LEDs indicate the switching status. Even in rough environments, such as in steelworks or foundries, the sensor’s operation is reliable and accurate.
