Hefestus pomegranate juicing system

Pomegranate can be consumed as a whole fruit, ready to eat arils and as juice. Nevertheless, it is hard to process as peeling and deseeding the arils from the fruit is complicated and expensive for consumers and manufactures alike. Following the launching of a ready-to-eat pomegranates packaging solution last year, Hefestus has introduced a comprehensive solution for deseeding the arils without the peel in an automatic process that enables the beverage producer to squeeze the juice out of the arils, making a delicious super fruit juice without the bitterness taste, while processing the whole fruit.

Traditionally, processors squeeze pomegranate juice out in various ways, including squeezing the juice with the peel, which cause a bitterness taste. However, by using Hefestus’ technology, manufactures are able to increase the natural taste of the pomegranate drink. The automatic process shortens the processing time and lowers labour costs.
