GS Italia semi-automatic and automatic sandwich lines
GS Italia has a range of semi-automatic and automatic sandwich lines available in Oceania through their local sales agent, HBM Packaging Technologies.
The two-lane, semi-automatic sandwich lines have speeds of up to 700 square sandwiches per hour and are suitable for small- to medium-sized production lines. An operator manually loads the slices of bread that then travel down the production line.
The sandwich lines have automatic sauce fillers that ensure constant and even distribution of sauces, such as mayonnaise, on both slices of the bread. Meat and cheese products are manually applied by an operator. The machine presses the sandwich halves together and an optional electric saw knife cuts the sandwiches.
The four-lane automatic line has speeds of up to 1500 sandwiches per hour and is suitable for industrial production. The automatic bread dispenser loads the bread onto the production line and the automatic sauce filler applies sauce to the bread. A second automatic fill station can load wet salad or vegetable items, with the exception of salad leaves.
An operator is required to manually load salad leaves, meats and cheese and the machine then compacts and slices the sandwiches. If required, the machine can rotate the sandwich to achieve a triangle cut and place it in a thermo-sealed pack that is designed to maximise the shelf life of the sandwich.
The machines can create stuffed, flat and ball shaped sandwiches and are available with optional automatic slicers (that slice cold deli meats and cheese) and packaging solutions such as thermosealing machines.
