Electric meat trimmers

Removing the flex shaft cable drive system to power electric meat trimmers has allowed IBEX to create a meat trimming system which delivers lower operating costs and eliminates cable vibration for operators.

The low-voltage V2DC electric meat trimming system represents the latest generation in meat and bone trimming tool technology. It provides processing plants with improved performance and reliability, while claiming to reduce ongoing maintenance costs by up to 50% and providing approximately 30% more power than pneumatic trimmers.

The motor for the trimming system is mounted in the hand piece. The small, powerful motor is the heart of the drive system, running on low-voltage DC power. The V2DC eliminates the high-voltage power sources from above the operator and the flex shaft drive systems required to power electric meat trimming tools.

The design of the trimmer enables lower operating costs eliminating cable maintenance and replacements. Eliminating the flex shaft cable removes the cable vibrations associated with these types of cables and improves operator comfort.

The V2DC hand piece features multiple head compatibility allowing one hand piece to drive all head sizes (35, 52, 69, 90 and 128 mm).

The V2DC trimmer, in conjunction with IBEX modular trimmer heads, is used in the removal of fat and the slicing and recovery of meat from different applications across a wide range of processing industries.

IBEX offers the opportunity to trial the V2DC meat trimmer on plant.
