The MIRIS Dairy Milk Analyser (DMA) can be used for determining fat, protein, lactose and total solids.

The unit fills a niche in the market for companies that need an accurate, reliable instrument that is easy to use.

From only one sample, the DMA analyses milk or cream for fat, protein, lactose, SNF and dry matter (total solids). Components are measured in one simple step and results are shown within 60 s.

Other features include its small, robust construction, ease of operation and reliability due to the elimination of all moving parts.

The MIRIS DMA also boasts high accuracy with a measuring range that covers anything from low-fat milk to cream (50% fat). The results are presented on the display to two decimals and can easily be transferred to a computer.

The DMA can be used instead of time-consuming chemical analyses (Gerber, Kjeldahl, etc) or expensive analytical instruments.

The DMA integrates a tested and certified analysis method (mid IR) in combination with a new technique. Both IDF (International Dairy Federation) and AOAC International (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) have approved Mid IR technology for milk analysis.
