CST Wastewater Rotary Drum Screen for removing solids from wastewater

CST Wastewater has introduced its Rotary Drum Screen for high-efficiency screening of industrial wastewaters.

The screen is constructed of stainless steel, including the base frame, and is fully enclosed for OHS odour and aerosol control.

Offering enhanced durability, hygiene and serviceability, the screen has non-lubricated chains and nonmetallic drive sockets. It is self-cleaning and corrosion resistant and has no mechanical parts in contact with screened solids.

The screen is designed to handle high fat and grease loadings. It has an upgraded running wheel design and comes with optional wedgewire slots or perforated holes screening.

It is suitable for use in general food and beverage production, slaughterhouses and abattoirs, tanneries, pulp and paper mills, textile plants and plastic manufacturing facilities.

The internally fed Rotary Drum Screen can use wedgewire or perforated hole drums. Wastewater passes into the internal feed tank before overflowing the weir onto the screen face of the drum. Solids are collected on the screen face, while the screened water passes through the screen face under gravity. Collected solids are discharged via the screen drum mouth.

The internal feed tank controls inlet velocities and distributes the flow evenly onto the screen face.
