CIP hybrid circumferential piston and lobe pump

Wright Flow Technologies has introduced the Revolution, a clean in place (CIP) hybrid circumferential piston and lobe pump.

The positive displacement pump is particularly suited to the sanitary and industrial markets, merging the benefits of lobe and circumferential piston technologies into one platform. This platform claims increased product yield, increased lifetime of components, reduced maintenance costs, with high CIP cleanability and high standards of hygiene.

In Europe the pump is being used with 80/85 °C tomato pulp where product damage is claimed to have been completely eliminated and linear pumping has resulted in 50% reduction of steam consumption through the heat exchanger and in the tank. The pump is able to be cleaned easily through CIP, eliminating the need to strip clean.

The Revolution brings together the benefits of good cleanability, improved volumetric efficiency and high solid handling into one platform. It features capacities to 190 m3/h, differential pressures to 31 bar, with all seals being front replaceable for minimum downtime.

A pre-filled, maintenance-free gearbox and a self-draining pump head minimise product loss. The pump is versatile, with flexibility that allows the end user to choose the best rotor technology to fit the application.
