Marchant Schmidt has added 3D vision optimisation technology to its range of cheese cutting solutions for fixed weight portions.
The optimisation uses up to four 3D cameras (washdown duty) to view all surfaces of the incoming block.
The cameras scan the surface of the product to create a full cross-section view of the cheese bar.
The PLC stores all the data retrieved and calculates the proper locations to cut the cheese bar to meet weight requirements and optimise yield. The cameras can detect any inconsistencies or flaws in the surface of the cheese.
