Designed specifically for wet and washdown intensive processing environments, the CEIA THS/210-MBH9 metal detector system combines advanced detection capabilities with hygienic IP69K construction. It is suitable for applications including: fresh and processed meat products; poultry and seafood; plant-based and meat alternative proteins; cheese and dairy products; and ready meals and cooked foods.
At the core of the system is CEIA’s exclusive multi-spectrum technology, designed to manage product effect caused by natural variations in moisture, salt content, temperature, density and other product characteristics. By automatically compensating for these variables, the system maintains high detection sensitivity while reducing false rejects, product waste, and unnecessary production interruptions.
Other features include IP69K-rated construction, AISI 316L stainless steel housing and FDA-compliant materials to withstand rigorous washdown procedures. Its hygienic design supports residue free cleaning and compliance with food safety.
A key enhancement is the system’s rugged touchscreen interface, developed over several years of research and development specifically for harsh washdown environments. The interface is designed to simplify startup, product changeovers and access to inspection settings.
The built-in Auto-QC function automatically verifies detector performance by simulating the passage of ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless-steel test pieces through the detector aperture. This enables routine performance verification without interrupting production or requiring manual test passes, helping processors simplify quality assurance procedures and minimise downtime.
Additional detection modes allow the system to be optimised for wet products, dry products and products packaged in metallised materials, while smart connectivity capabilities support efficient production monitoring and management.
