Burkert MFC Type 8713 gas mass flow controller

Thursday, 04 November, 2010 | Supplied by: Burkert Fluid Control Systems

MFC Type 8713 is an instrument for the control of the mass flow of gases that is relevant for most applications in process technology.

The measured value provided by the sensor will be compared in the digital control electronics of Type 8713 with the setpoint given via the RS485 interface. In case of a control deviation, the opening of the solenoid control valve is changed by a PI-control algorithm. Due to the fact that the sensor is directly in contact with the gas, a fast reaction time is achieved. In this way, the mass flow can be maintained, regardless of pressure variations or other changes in the system. 8713 can optionally be calibrated for two different gases; the user is able to switch between these two gases.
