Broken bag detection

Tuesday, 31 March, 2009 | Supplied by: SWR Engineering Messtechnik Pty Ltd

Dusty is a broken bag detection system. It uses a triboelectric measuring technique and detects solid particles in a gas flow. The particles must be 0.3 µm in size, or larger.

It will detect from 0.1 mg/m3 and can be used with a minimum gas velocity of 4 m/s. The maximum process temperature is 140 °C.

The detector rod is constructed from stainless steel and has a length of 220 mm. The outputs are 2 x solid-state relays at 170 mA. The power supply is 12-24 VDC and the housing is IP65.
