Anton Paar L-Dens 323 density meter
The Anton Paar L-Dens 323 density meter for the food industry is available with wetted parts made of Hastelloy. The meter is suitable for the continuous monitoring of the density, or concentration, of liquids when an accuracy of 1x10-3 g/cm3 is required for the density results.
The density analyser is claimed to provide an economical solution for accurate, continuous, online density measurement and concentration measurement for many common applications, including: Brix in cordial, juices, sauces, pastes, dressings and molasses; alcohol/ethanol, NaCl solutions (salt or brine solution), KCl solutions and solid content of milk.
The density monitor employs a new type of oscillating U-tube. The instruments measure the change in oscillating frequency rather than the change in deflection used by other types of density meters; this provides a signal that is approximately 10x more sensitive than a change in deflection, as used with the Coriolis principle.
The compact density meter is claimed to be a powerful and flexible measuring instrument which can be integrated easily into measuring systems and plants. The measuring results are displayed directly on the instrument and can also be transferred for data processing via standard interfaces.
