Alfa Laval Unique Mixproof Valves make it possible to handle two different fluids at the same time, with no risk of cross-contamination.
Using two independent plugs and seals means a single mixproof valve can often replace two or more valves of other types. The range consists of several different designs, all with leakage detection, that enable users to design versatile set-ups tailored to their requirements.
For instance, the Large Particle Valve is suitable for handling fluids with high viscosity or large particles such as lotions, soups and yoghurts. This valve is designed with large openings, handling particles up to 45 mm in diameter, to minimise pressure loss and secure product integrity.
The valves also provide water, chemical and heating savings during cleaning-in-place.
