Alfa Laval separator platform for beverages

Friday, 28 August, 2009 | Supplied by: Alfa Laval Pty Ltd

Alfa Laval has released a separator platform for beverages, illustrated by the separator system BREW 2001 eDrive.

The use of the new direct drive system on this separator was pioneered at Alfa Laval. With a new patented drive solution, a direct power transfer can now be established between the drive shaft and the separator bowl. This means that the transmission system can be perceptibly smaller and no power or energy losses are incurred – resulting in savings on electricity.

Furthermore, the separator platform comes in modular design and can be combined with the already well-known Alfa Laval bowl sizes.

This is said to mean independence from old performance values and reduced downtimes.
