Tetra Pak has acquired Laude, a Dutch manufacturer of plastic moulds used in hard and semi-hard cheese production. The acquisition will strengthen the company's ability to provide complete solutions for cheese manufacturing and will extend the availability of Laude products in the global market.

Auke Rienks, managing director of Laude, said, "We see an exciting opportunity for international growth through Tetra Pak channels, particularly outside of Europe, where our focus has been in the past."

Laude will form part of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems.
