Biogone’s home-compostable gloves are designed as an eco-conscious alternative for the global foodservice industry and manufacturers, who use hundreds of thousands of gloves every year.
The gloves are made with plant-based material rather than fossil fuels and are designed to biodegrade when disposed of to a home compost, commercial compost facility (if the waste stream is available) or landfill.
They are also made to the home-compostable Australian/NZ standard AS5180. In Melbourne, these gloves can be purchased at several retailers including McCoppins, Good Food Emporium and Prahran Grocer.
