Expanding its industry footprint, SciDev has installed its OptiFlox System in a Lion Dairy & Drinks facility in New South Wales.
The OptiFlox system assists in the automation and optimisation of wastewater treatment, and it will be installed in the dissolved air flotation unit in the wastewater treatment plant of the dairy processing facility.
The technology continuously monitors fine particle quantity and surface charge in order to achieve optimal flocculation conditions through automated, cloud-based, real-time chemical dosing.
The commercial arrangement follows the receipt of a purchase order together with concurrent chemical sales for an initial 12-month period. The installation of the system will complement existing chemical sales at the facility and aims to deliver greater productivity and cost benefits to customers.
Using the system, the product recovery of valuable mineral resources are more cost efficient, and it minimises losses in productivity and revenue caused by inadequate wastewater clarification.
The announcement that the company will be installing an OptiFlox system in a Lion Dairy & Drinks facility proves its cross-industry applications, and highlights SciDev’s ability to increase its revenue by leveraging its existing customer base. SciDev continues to discuss further opportunities to assist with wastewater treatment in the natural resources, energy, sewage and food processing sectors.
The OptiFlox System is also expected to be deployed at a dairy manufacturing facility in Victoria later in 2017.
