Top confectionery award for Nestlé expert

World authority in sugar panning and chocolate panning Anthony (Tony) Raponi has taken out The Alfred Stauder Award for Excellence, the highest honour in the Australasian confectionery industry.

With nearly 38 years in the confectionery industry with Nestlé, Raponi’s knowledge is respected and sought worldwide.

He is well known for his work on Nestlé’s flagship Kit Kat brand including Kit Kat Caramel Chunky and Kit Kat Chocolate block.

Ai Group Confectionery Sector Head Tim Piper said: “I know Tony Raponi has been an inspiration to his colleagues at Nestlé for nearly 38 years, combining his expert knowledge of confectionery, his tireless pursuit of true innovation and the generosity with which he has shared his passion and knowledge.”

The award was presented at Ai Group Confectionery Sector’s ConTech 2016 Industry Dinner in Melbourne.
