Chadwicks has produced a printed aluminium lid for a range of luxury chocolate Gü puddings being sold in Britain and France.
The Cheeky Pots au Chocolate and Petits Plaisirs au Chocolat — ‘small luxuries in chocolate’ — are a hot-fill pudding requiring a foil lid with heat-seal lacquer. The black and white lid was produced in a two-colour printing process and features random grub embossing.
As it is a hot-fill pudding it needed a strong seal that could withstand any pressure that builds up after filling and foil was the best choice of material.
