Sirane Sira-Cook films

Sirane has launched Sira-Cook as part of a move into film packaging. Sira-Cook is a range of innovative bags, pouches and films for packaging and cooking foods in microwaves and conventional ovens.

Developed as a lightweight alternative for ready meals and marinaded meat and fish, Sira-Cook will be available for an elevated temperature-resistant range of films and has been produced with a rustic and natural look.

The film is also available on the reel. It has very good barrier properties and, in the non-cookable versions, it is compostable.

Sira-Cook is available in many colours and textures including a natural-looking, old-fashioned ‘papery’ look and texture.

The cookable versions can go to 230°C and the microwaveable ones to 160°C.

All of the Sira Cook films can be printed, are very low weight and can be produced through form, fill and seal machines as well as run as reels on flow wrappers.

The food typically cooks inside the bags in its own juices but, where there is any excess fat generated, an absorbent skillet can be tailor made for each application. Any size is available.

The non-cookable version is called Sira-Fresh, the microwavable version Sira-Cook M and the ovenable, Sira-Cook R.
