PPT Vision has added the Right-Angle T-Series intelligent camera to its series of Impact smart cameras. The camera is paired with PPT Vision’s full Impact software suite, which solves challenging industrial vision applications such as product or feature inspection, location and identification. Impact smart cameras employ closely integrated vision software and hardware to deliver a sophisticated solution for vial inspection, label inspection, optical character recognition and many other machine vision applications.

T-Series smart cameras are now available in right-angle housings, as well as inline and remote-head housings, to offer operators the flexibility to position the camera into an available mechanical envelope, making it simple to install for most manufacturing machinery configurations.

Impact delivers a versatile and flexible industrial vision software solution. The VPM (Vision Program Manager) features 120 image analysis tools and offers intuitive icon-based, drag-and-drop configuration for user-friendly tool set-up - with no programming language knowledge required.

The comprehensive software suite facilitates coordinate transfer for robotic guidance, reading of 2D and 1D bar codes for product ID, advanced measurement tools for product gauging and many additional applications.

CPM (Control Program Manager) is a simple way to create custom operator HMIs (human machine interfaces) for controlling single or multiple Impact smart cameras. This multi-faceted machine vision software also features secure user IDs and password control - critical smart camera attributes for designing and implementing pharmaceutical FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliant systems.

The Right-Angle T-Series Impact intelligent camera is particularly suitable for high-speed inspections. With its 1600 MIPs-rated processor, the camera can inspect up to 6000 parts per minute. Six Right Angle T-Series models are available - including colour, greyscale and 1600 x 1200 resolution options - allowing users to select the resolution, speed and performance desired to effectively solve a wide array of automated inspections.

Vision inspection results can be communicated with the camera’s optically isolated outputs or through its serial or ethernet port. This information may also be communicated to a machine control system or factory SCADA system via industrial ethernet IP or Modbus protocols, as well as by utilising the Microsoft ActiveX platform.
