The Lock Inspection Systems MET 30+ Universal metal detector is distributed in Australia by JW Industrial Instruments.

The digital metal detector is enhanced by all new processor hardware and software.

When Lock embarked on the development of the Universal, the goal was to extend the success of the MET 30+ range in order to create a metal detector that would be stable to the worst imaginable external interference such as shocks and vibration, whilst at the same time delivering unrivalled sensitivity to metal contamination - even in the presence of extremely high product signal.

The Universal has a digital range of 32,000 - a full 15 times greater than that of the MET 30+ - and this results in increased sensitivity on dry products by up to 30% with the high frequency (875 kHz) detector and high sensitivity for all other products even if they are high temperature, wet or wrapped in metallised film.

The MET 30+ Universal range also incorporates the 3f hf multi-frequency detector, a triple frequency detector that is capable of highly accurate inspection of both poly-film and metallised packaged products. Although multi-frequency technology has been available in the market for several years now, the Universal 3f hf with its three dedicated crystal controlled frequencies - medium, high and ultra high - sets new standards in fast and accurate automatic frequency selection, delivering the optimum sensitivity across a wide range of product and packaging types.

Lock’s detectors are available with either membrane keypad or touch-screen interfaces - the rugged design of the membrane keypad lends it to use in harsh production environments, whereas the user-friendly, touch-screen panel incorporates Lock’s ADC Software so that all the product and contamination signals can be viewed in real time.

In addition, all MET 30+ Universal detectors can be connected to Lock’s sophisticated DataChek Data Management System, a performance measurement system that can network together multiple detector lines within a production plant.
