Leibinger JET3 and JET2neo continuous inkjet coding machines

Monday, 25 March, 2013 | Supplied by: Result Group

Continuous inkjet coding (CIJ) equipment has been around for a long time, but Leibinger claims to have reinvented the technology with the JET3 and JET2neo machines.

The printers themselves are extended with a range of plug-and-play accessories such as: JETVisio for camera-based vision inspection that is driven by the printer itself without external software required; JETmotion, a range of linear actuators capable of X and Y printhead movement, again controlled by the printer’s onboard processor; and JETedit for simple control of multiple printers from any desktop PC.

Automatic nozzle sealing means there is no need to clean or flush printheads on a daily basis. This means less fluid consumption, greater control of ink viscosity and no OHS issues around handling discarded inks.

The machines’ colour touch-screen control operates with a Windows-based program using intuitive software. The ink system’s pump control means the system operates for less time, minimising service and increasing availability.

All manner of fonts, sizes and symbols can be printed without the need for external control software. A range of 1D and 2D barcode formats and languages from Chinese to Arabic are all standard.
