KM Packaging K-PEEL VPMe recycle-ready film

Friday, 28 August, 2026 | Supplied by: KM Packaging Services Ltd

KM Packaging has launched K-Peel VPMe, a recycle-ready polyolefin film designed to seal PET trays and pots.

The multi-seal polyolefin film is recyclable under APCO guidance, and is designed to replace PET films being used alongside rigid PET trays.

While the PET trays are recyclable, PET film is not, according to APCO’s rules. Replacing a PET film with K-Peel VPMe results in the entire package being completely recyclable via local collection schemes.

The film’s multi-seal properties mean it also seals to PET, PP and PE trays, offering efficiency and flexibility for producers who have a wide and varied product portfolio.

The 55 µm-gauge film also offers a high barrier that provides greater protection for gases and water transfer. These features make it suitable for microwave meals, snack trays and fresh protein.

The film provides a strong peel across the full range of tray types, and is now available in Australia and New Zealand.
