Intermec Technologies industrial bar code printers

Intermec Technologies has announced enhanced versions of seven industrial bar code printers - the PD41, PD42, PF2i, PF4i, PM4i, PX4i and PX6i. The improvements include an all-in-one printer programming language and increased memory and are suitable for operations, IT and business managers in warehouse, transportation and logistics and manufacturing.

The printers feature Intermec Smart Printing technology enabling companies to deploy the printers as stand-alone smart clients running custom applications to reduce errors and improve process efficiencies, eliminating the need for a host computer.

The all-in-one printer programming language design and integrated SmartSystems remote management software allow seamless deployment, integration and reconfiguration in existing Intermec or mixed printer environments.

It has an enhanced label self-strip feature and the ruggedised, metal construction maximises uptime and long duty-cycles.

The printers are available with highly secure (WPA2) wireless connectivity and are claimed to be the only Cisco CCX and Wi-Fi-certified industrial printers available. Claimed to be unique to this printer class, they also offer standard support for IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols, providing flexibility and scalability to changing network infrastructures while ensuring network integrity.
