Quicklabel Systems has introduced the desktop Pronto! 486 high-resolution bar code printer.

The 600 dpi bar code printer makes bar code labels with very small text, at sizes as small as 4 pt type, and makes bar code graphics in near-lithographic print quality with consistent, solid fills and clean lines and curves.

At a speed of up to 4 ips, the Pronto! 486 makes bar code labels fast enough to satisfy most labelling applications. The user-friendly printer design features advanced networking, rapid processing, support for all major bar codes and expandable memory.

Some of Pronto!’s applications include small-size identification labels, single-colour primary display labels and labels with logos and illustrations that can help promote brands on the retail shelves. With the selection of blank labels and rainbow of thermal transfer ribbon colours (including metallic silver and gold ribbons), users can print well-presented labels.

The Pronto! 486 can print variable information labels with logos, graphics, bar codes, nutritional fact panels, data codes, weight, size, price, part number, and other serialising or data-based variable information.
