German packaging machine specialist Oystar Gasti is entering the modular age with Combiseptic 81 for filling premade cups being extended to accommodate additional servo-driven dosers, sterilisation units and sealing stations.

Instead of cycling, the latest version of Combiseptic 81 cup filler works continuously, outputting a steady stream of cups from the transport chain and transferring them smoothly onto a conveyor belt.

Up to 18,000 cups an hour can be filled with portions between 100 and 500 g and sealed.

The machine accommodates three different cup diameters — 71, 86 and 95 mm — for maximum flexibility in processing different products.

Changeovers have also been speeded up — a complete format change takes 30 mins at most.

Additional dosers can be integrated for multilayer and twister fillings and the dosing pumps can be separately set for each strand.

Additional closing stations for hooded lids or integrated spoon can be retrofitted, as well as units for package sterilisation, labelling and straw tipping. There is a precise, function for monitoring cup tightness.
