Cermex OptiDry drying solution for packaging lines

Friday, 11 April, 2014 | Supplied by: Allied Industries Pty Ltd

Cermex’s OptiDry unit can handle glass, plastic and metal containers in a range of shapes and sizes. It offers good drying efficiency, with independently adjustable nozzle positioning to target the air flows at the container’s neck, body or both.

Its adaptability makes the system suitable for a range of applications, including beverages, dairy products, food, household and personal care products, and pharmaceuticals.

The system uses nozzles, rather than air knives, which ensures the stability of the containers and helps to maintain a constant air velocity. The height, spacing and angle of the support plenums are fully adjustable to ensure that the nozzles are as close as possible to the containers.

Graduated indicators make it easy to reproduce a precise plenum positioning for a quick and efficient changeover between product batches. The nozzle positioning can be adjusted either manually using the crank system or automatically with the help of a motorised system.

The system runs with just one fan controlled by a 7.5 or 15 kW inverter. Its noise-absorbent casing reduces noise levels to less than 80 dB.
