Camsensor Q:Seal Tray Pack seal inspection system

The Camsensor Q:Seal Tray Pack system checks the seal integrity of thermo-formed food trays in order to eliminate product or foreign matter contaminating the seals.

With complete on-line quality control, the system can be used to ensure the integrity and freshness of the product, and makes sure it is consistently presented.

The system detects produce, grease, water, foreign matter, folds and creases in the seal area. It automatically rejects products with imperfect seals, stopping damaged products getting out into the market. Warning indicators of certain failure types help the user set up the sealing machine for consistency and reduction of wastage.

The inspection system can be easily incorporated into an existing production line. It uses a Camsensor smart camera with high-speed line scan technology. Moving trays are inspected when passing over a split conveyor. A high-intensity backlight ensures that any flaws are detected with accuracy. The system includes its own rejecter or it can interface to an existing downstream reject station.
