AIP to partner with the Packaging Cockpit

The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will partner with the Packaging Cockpit to bring its global packaging specification management software to the Australasian region.

According to its website, the Packaging Cockpit is a tool that calculates the technical recyclability, as well as the lifecycle assessment of packaging systems, provides scientific calculations and enables data interface with suppliers and brands.

“The Packaging Cockpit is ideally suited for Australasian companies that are exporting into Europe, as the system is intuitive, comprehensive and is supported by leading European retailers and brands. If your business needs to meet the Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulations, complete Declarations of Conformity, Technical Documentation and access your packaging suppliers’ specifications, then the Packaging Cockpit is the answer,” said Nerida Kelton, Executive Director of the AIP.

“The team behind the Packaging Cockpit want to help make the recyclability of packaging systems transparent and help companies to make the right decisions when optimising their packaging portfolio. [It] is intended to be applied both internally within companies and to entire supply chains.

“Not only can the Packaging Cockpit fulfil PPWR regulations, but also other Extended Producer regulations across all corners of the globe. One system for the entire supply chain. The calculations can be performed for different countries, allowing country-specific evaluations. In addition, further management functions of the packaging portfolio can be performed.”
