Montague launches its nectarine range
Montague is preparing for the launch of Nectara, a new brand of nectarines with three subcategories designed to appeal to the Australian palate.
The three subcategories are: white nectarines — Sweet Silk, yellow nectarines — Tangy Punch and yellow nectarines — Smooth Honey. Each nectarine has a different coloured sticker that’s designed to communicate the key flavour.
According to Angela Bracken, Montague Senior Marketing Manager, a third-party consumer market research study, undertaken by Red Robin Blue, found that consumers seek fruit that tastes great and is healthy, but are often left confused by different categories and have to re-familiarise themselves with the fruit each season.
Rowan Little, Montague Chief Innovation Officer, proposed the Nectara concept to the industry.
The hand-picked Nectara nectarines will be on shelves from November until late January 2024 at Woolworths, Coles, Costco and selected independent green grocers.
