Hemp-infused drink brand expands to international market
An Aussie wellness brand has expanded into an international market. Known for its hemp-infused beverages and energy drinks, +hemp is expanding into the Asian market and introducing a new flavour, +hemp Energy Dragonfruit.
The brand was founded by Natalie Beaini, who discovered the benefits of hemp when she began using it to treat her psoriasis. She teamed up with a pharmaceutical lab to formulate +hemp, a beverage with vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12. It uses the omega-3 and omega-6 essential acids found in Australian hemp to hydrate and boost health.
Hemp is an ingredient derived from the seed of certain varieties of the Cannabis sativa plant. It contains no THC, meaning it does not have psychoactive or hallucinogenic effects.
The brand expanded into South Korea in 2022 and will be expanding to Japan in 2023, with pipelines into New Zealand and India in 2024.
An alternative to conventional energy drinks, +hemp pairs fruit flavours with botanical caffeine from green tea extract. It is vegan, organic, sugar-free and gluten-free.
