Baskin-Robbins launches 'deceptive' dessert range
Baskin-Robbins has introduced a limited-edition range of desserts to the market inspired by the ‘real or fake’ social media trend, where one type of food is designed to look like another.
The ‘Dinner Your Dessert’ range playfully mimics classic dinnertime staples like burgers, pizza and tacos using sweet ingredients.
“We had a lot of fun developing this range, which is all about giving customers a new and exciting taste experience, and embracing life lived less ordinary,” said Julian Casa, Baskin-Robbins General Manager.
“We wanted to create something that would grab the attention of a Gen Z and millennial audience in particular, so tapping into a viral trend felt like the perfect way to do just that.”
Included in the range are the Loaded Scoop Burger (two ice cream patties, special fudge sauce and whipped cream on a brioche bun); Choccy-Top Tacos (a soft choc taco with ice cream, crispy-crunchy toppings and hot fudge); and Polar Pizza (a double fudge-brownie pizza crust layered with ice cream and choc fudge, seasoned with sweet toppings).
Customers can also choose the Thickshake & Fizzy Float, and Dough-Nugs (bite-sized doughnut-inspired nuggets).
The range is available at Baskin-Robbins stores nationwide for a limited time.
