Australian National Campylobacter Action Plan, call to register interest
The Australian National Campylobacter Action Plan is a multi-year strategy endorsed by the Food Regulation System to address the leading cause of bacterial foodborne illness in the country — Campylobacterosis.
Being led by FSANZ and Safe Food Production Queensland, the action plan aims to develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to understand and mitigate foodborne Campylobacter risks, thereby reducing the risks across the Australian food supply chain.
For the plan to be effective, it requires an integrated approach that consults with multiple sectors across food and public health systems.
The action plan group is now open for registration of all interested stakeholders to receive updates and contribute with views for this consultation process.
