Tibaldi acquires South Food Group

The owner of Tibaldi (Aust) Pty Ltd, Singapore-based investment group Chestnut, has completed the acquisition of South Food Group.

South Food Group is an Australian smallgoods manufacturer supplying the retail and food service sectors across the Asia–Pacific region. Its brands include: Casalingo, Chicharon, Fiora, Greenvale Farm and Crackle & Co, with products spanning prosciutto, salami, chorizo, ham, bacon and protein snacks.

Tibaldi supplies ham products, bacon, salami, deli meats, sausages and fresh pork to supermarket and catering/fast-food customers under various brands including: Tibaldi, Signature Collection and Coburg Smokehouse.

The two smallgoods businesses have an existing commercial relationship, including contract manufacturing and raw material supply arrangements.

EP Advisors advised South Food Group on the transaction but declined to comment on transaction value or other confidential details.

“We can confirm EP Advisors acted for South Food Group on the transaction. Beyond that, we are not commenting on transaction details,” said Emil Parthenides, Managing Director and Principal Advisor at EP Advisors.

Back in June 2026, the ACCC provided its approval for Tibaldi’s proposed acquisition of all issued shares in South Food Group to proceed after it determined that the acquisition is “unlikely to have the effect of substantially lessening competition in any market”.

This acquisition was completed on 30 September 2026.
