The Future of Soft Plastics & Flexibles: webinar
The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) and the Entrepreneurs Programme will be collaborating through the Sustainable Packaging SMART Project to deliver a webinar discussing the future of soft plastics and flexibles.
The webinar will provide an opportunity to hear from packaging experts and better understand the current state of soft plastics and flexibles in Australia.
Sustainable packaging ensures the packaging design and materials provide the lowest environmental impact compared to existing and conventional packaging. When balancing environmental criteria with functional and commercial considerations, it can be challenging to achieve the lowest possible environmental impact.
There are many reasons why businesses are turning to sustainable packaging, including the 2025 Sustainable Packaging targets, corporate social responsibility, reducing carbon footprint, reducing unnecessary packaging and waste, increasing sales and meeting the demand of retailers and consumers.
Joe Foster FAIP, CEO of Close the Loop, will be a guest speaker during the webinar, delivering insights from his experience in the industry.
Topics to be covered include:
- Future capabilities
- Mono material advancements
- Kerbside collection
- Reprocessing
- Greenwashing and the ACCC
- Soft plastics taskforce.
