Run for a cause in 2017
In addition to her professional role as general manager of Food Processing Equipment (FPE), Tania Carey is also a board member of the Jodi Lee Foundation, an organisation dedicated to preventing bowel cancer. This is a cause close to Tania’s heart since the death of her twin sister, Tracey-Lee Diamond, from bowel cancer in 2014.
Tania and Tracey-Lee shared a passion for running, so to honour her sister, this year Tania will lead a team to New York to run the New York Marathon with the aim of raising awareness and money for the Jodi Lee Foundation.
If you would like to support this worthwhile cause, you can do so by:
- spreading the word and raising awareness about the importance of early detection. If detected early, 90% of bowel cancers can be treated successfully. Test kits are available from the Jodi Lee Foundation website.
- donating money to support Tania’s team.
- joining Tania’s team to run in New York in November.
