Next-gen food ingredients at Fi Asia Bangkok 2025
Under its theme ‘Reformulate for Impact’, Kerry brought science-led, insights-driven solutions and food and beverage concepts to the recent Food Ingredients Asia 2025 in Bangkok.
Highlights included:
- Live culinary demonstrations using Kerry’s clean label savoury taste and smoke technologies, with visitors tasting concept dishes such as maple BBQ chicken pops, Korean bulgogi and cola sausage.
- Kerry’s ProActive Health ingredients in the form of gummies, supplements, fortified food and beverages.
- Attendees sampled cookies, brownies and chips reformulated with Kerry’s Tastesense Salt reduction technology for low-salt snacks and cocoa booster solution that enables cocoa powder reduction while retaining authentic chocolate taste.
- Hybrid Beverages was a beverage zone featuring refreshing fruity and citrus-led drinks enhanced by natural flavours and Kerry’s Tastesense Sweet, Masking and Mouthfeel technologies. There was also flavoured iced green and black tea, and chocolate dairy and cocoa-reduced chocolate dairy drinks.
- The Frozen Treats Innovation section featured Kerry’s Sherex technology and Sweet Taste solutions, which are designed to redefine flavours for ice cream and sorbet.
Thought leaders and subject matter experts Marcus Verkerk, Dr Celia Ning, Anakkapan Danjarern, Jie Ying Lee and Dr Pornpun Theinsathid presented seminars about the company’s smoke and grill technologies, health and wellness, sodium reduction, and food protection and preservation, along with strategies shaping the future of food.
These innovations reflect broader industry trends in Asia–Pacific, where consumers increasingly demand products that balance authentic taste, health benefits and sustainable practices. According to the company, indulgence and wellness are no longer separate categories, but expectations that must be delivered together.
“Fi Asia 2025 has been an incredible platform to connect with partners and demonstrate how Kerry is redefining what’s possible in food innovation,” said Siddharth Rastogi, General Manager, Retail & Meat, Kerry Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. “We look forward to continuing to co-create with our partners and inspire the next wave of food and beverage development across Asia.”
