Inside Kerry's foodpro stand

Kerry will be present at foodpro, stand A22, showcasing its capabilities in sustainable taste, proactive health, plant protein and food protection and preservation.

The company will focus on taste and nutrition solutions that aim to transform food, beverage and nutraceutical categories to meet demands for lower sugar and salt without sacrificing taste and texture, functional ingredients that are better for health and natural preservation to minimise waste and negative impact on the planet.

Kerry’s stand will enable visitors to learn about its technologies in taste, food protection and preservation, as well as present the opportunity to sample meat and snack concepts and trial Kerry’s Food Waste Estimator tool.

Kerry is also a sponsor of the foodpro ‘Sensory Experience’ where visitors can try creative beverage concepts that are designed to support health.

Sample foods on the Kerry stand include:

  • Maple Sriracha Glazed Chicken: Flavour profiles are delivered through Kerry’s Authentic Savoury portfolio, with salt and sugar reduction achieved with Kerry Tastesense.
  • Plant-Based Hoi Sin ‘Duk’: Kerry’s plant-based meat-like shred uses flavour masking and fermentation solutions, while achieving flavour through Kerry’s savoury flavours and Kerry Red Arrow smoke technologies.
  • Applewood Smoked Cheddar Popcorn: A vegan-suitable popcorn with a mature cheddar flavour, enrobed in Applewood Smoke via Kerry Red Arrow. A low sodium content is achieved with Kerry Tastesense Salt technology. The vegan cheddar uses Authentic Savoury and fermentation technologies, while also containing BC30 probiotic to support digestive health and protein utilisation benefits.

At the Sensory Experience, beverages include: Orange & Ginger Immunity Booster Shot, Vegan Protein Punch, Refreshing Lemon Fruit Splash and Cherrywood Smoked Margarita Mocktail.

Christine Giuliano, GM & Commercial Lead, Kerry Australia and New Zealand, said the company is committed to creating sustainable nutrition solutions that help maintain good health.

“Through assessing emerging trends, consumer needs and understanding our customers’ challenges in this constantly evolving market, we support our customers to create healthier, tastier and more sustainable products through our integrated portfolio of taste and nutrition solutions,” Giuliano said.

The foodpro 2023 trade event for the food and beverage manufacturing and processing sector is being held in Melbourne from 23–26 July 2023.
