Chr. Hansen wins innovation award for culturing technology
Chr. Hansen has won the Fi Europe Innovation Award for food tech, in recognition of its FreshQ food culturing technology.
The awards recognise exhibitors at the Fi Europe event for their contributions to a range of sectors, based on how their products or services have innovated in the food and beverages industry.
FreshQ is a range of cultures that can be used in the production of a variety of dairy products such as yoghurt, sour cream, quark, kefir, white and cottage cheese, as well as plant-based alternatives to dairy. Bioprotection is offered through the use of cultures that can outcompete contaminants.
Marianne Gregersen, Commercial Development Manager at Chr. Hansen, was proud to accept the award.
“This innovation brings fermentation-enabled bioprotection to the dairy producers, who need it the most; making it possible to fight food waste in regions where cold chains can be challenged. The award motivates us even more to keep pushing the boundaries of fermentation,” she said.
