Brewery takes bars online amidst COVID-19 pandemic
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, UK-based craft brewery BrewDog has established the BrewDog Online Bar, to be made available to customers on Friday, 27 March 2020. BrewDog has also repurposed its UK bars to provide takeaway beer and food for its customers, and now, with its Online Bar, it will also provide a sense of community. The Online Bar will allow customers to get together, be social and be safe, and is open to anyone in the world (over 18).
The brewery will also be setting up BrewDog Online Bar sessions for every single BrewDog bar in the UK, USA, Australia and Germany to give locals and regulars a chance to reconnect and share a beer.
The Online Bar will feature live beer tastings with BrewDog co-founders James and Martin, and other experts. Martin will also be hosting homebrew masterclasses. The Online Bar will also include virtual pub quizzes, Q&As with BrewDog crew members, live music, comedy, and giveaways from BrewDog.
A complete schedule of the events can be found on the BrewDog Twitter and Instagram accounts.
