Aussie lolly brand to expand into the US market

Five FUNDAY varieties — including one new SKU — will be available in Target’s US stores from 13 September. The range has been developed to introduce American shoppers to flavours and textures inspired by Australia’s much-loved lolly culture.

Founded in 2020, FUNDAY has become one of Australia’s food success stories. In just five years, the business has grown into a $100 million brand, with its gummy-texture lollies that contain no added sugar and no sugar alcohols. Instead, the gluten-free lollies contain prebiotic fibre, made using only natural colours and flavours.

The Target rollout comes as demand for better-for-you confectionery continues to accelerate in the United States, with more consumers actively looking to reduce their sugar intake without giving up the joy of confectionery. The range available in the US includes: Strawberry & Cream, Classic Aussie Mix, Peaches & Cream, Fruity Kangaroos and Fruity Koalas.

Daniel Kitay, Founder of FUNDAY Natural Sweets, said the Target launch represented a defining milestone for the Australian business.

“When we started FUNDAY, we had this crazy idea that lollies could be every bit as delicious and fun, just made with better ingredients. To see a brand that started in Australia now launching into Target stores across America is pretty surreal. Australians have backed us from day one, and that’s what has made this possible. We’re incredibly proud to be taking a little piece of Australia overseas and introducing Americans to the gummy-and-foam texture that’s become synonymous with FUNDAY.”
