Matthews appoints new GM of operations

Matthews Australasia has a new general manager of operations. The product identification company announced the appointment of Mark Dingley to the position.

Dingley joined Matthews in 1994, starting out in customer service and progressing through marketing, product management and software product development in his 18 years with the company.

As Manager of Identification Systems and Software, Dingley was involved in developing iDSnet and its roadmap.

“At Matthews, we value and reward talent, commitment and passion,” said Lester Nichol, Managing Director of Matthews Australasia. “I am confident that Mark will continue to take Matthews on the growth and innovation journey that we began almost 35 years ago.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my career so far and am looking forward to taking on the GM’s role for operations,” Dingley said. “I highly value working with Matthews - the company’s technological depth, combined with its culture and values, makes it very rewarding.

“My strengths are in management, project management and business development, and I’ll keep using these skills to further develop the company as we continue to support and improve the efficiency of Australian manufacturing businesses and their supply chains with market-leading intelligent identification solutions.”

Dingley is also chairperson of the Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) and is actively involved with GS1 Australia.
