IMCD Food & Nutrition Academy launched

Wednesday, 04 May, 2011

IMCD Food & Nutrition Competence Centre (F&NCC) has launched the IMCD Food & Nutrition Academy.

In addition to the theoretical training sessions that the F&NCC held in the past, the academy will now focus on the group's diversified product portfolio as well as new trends in the market.

Besides focusing on the product ranges and applications from the existing portfolio, the academy’s training sessions are expected to provide IMCD’s salesforce with additional market trends insight into the food and nutrition and technical tools (Ready To Use tools). The RTU tools are vital for IMCD Food & Nutrition as it enables the examination of technical issues, bringing ingredient opportunities closer to its users.

By doing so, IMCD is moving further away from the raw material-based approach towards a formulation one, including the processing side of its customer. This shift of focus will enhance IMCD’s ability to adequately evaluate which raw materials and which process can contribute to a successful end formulation, all with the aim of providing the best solution to customers.

The first training session in this new format took place in the last week of April at IMCD’s laboratory in Mechelen, Belgium, and hosted IMCD’s sales team members from across Europe.

The session was dedicated to the food and nutrition applications and lasted two full days.
