Death by retail?

The Australian Institute of Packaging invites you to come and hear its guests deliver expert commentary on the global retail landscape, the future of FMCG manufacturing, and the trends and strategies being employed by the largest retailers in the world.

Speakers at the event include:

Nick Everitt, program manager, International IGD United Kingdom, will review key issues facing the global grocery sector including retailer strategies (with a focus on Tesco and Wal-Mart) and the future for FMCG manufacturers.

Karen Bevan, program manager category & Consumer, International IGD United Kingdom, will then look at the development of Retail Ready Packaging - exploring the strategies of major players such as Tesco and Carrefour, the use of industry standards, developing a business case, cross border implementation and the consumer perspective.

This event will cover:

  • Who are the leading global retailers " who is winning and why?;
  • Key trends " expansion and retrenchment;
  • Focus on Tesco and Wal-Mart;
  • European private label growth and strategies for manufacturers;
  • Retail ready packaging " retailer strategies, developing the business case and in-store execution;
  • What all this means for Australia.
