Split shaft seals that are simple to sanitise
MECO’S AH-series shaft seals are designed to simplify installation, routine cleaning and maintenance in food and pharmaceutical industries, where frequent product changes and washdowns are required.
Split models can be easily removed, sanitised and reassembled on the shaft without removal of the bearing or drive. Seals can also be fitted with inlet and drain ports for CIP. The seals’ heavy, 12 mm stainless plate stators ensure flatness and long life, despite extensive handling.
The AH seals contain dry, abrasive powders in screw conveyors, ribbon blenders, dryers, bucket elevators and similar process machinery. The seals claim to solve problems caused by shaft run-out, wear or misalignment by accommodating up to 6 mm diametric shaft run-out.
Custom-engineered to fit any exact shaft size, the seals continue to function even during unplanned losses of purge air supply. Gas barrier fluid consumption is very low: 7 ±7 litres per minute.
MECO custom shaft seals are distributed in Australia by Eagle-Burgmann Australia.
