Key Diagnostics Aller-Snap low-level protein swab

Aller-Snap is a quick and easy way to accurately monitor the cleanliness of surfaces to help ensure product quality.

The swab detects low levels of protein residues left on a surface after cleaning. Simply swab a surface, release the reagent and heat for either 15 min at 55°C or 30 min at 37°C. If protein is present the reagent will turn purple. The colour change provides a semiquantitative measurement of surface cleanliness. The more contamination present, the quicker the colour change to purple and the darker the colour.

The swab detects down to 1 µg of protein residue and is suitable for allergen monitoring, with a detection level similar to specific allergen tests. The swab quickly validates the hygiene of a surface, allowing immediate corrective action to be taken if necessary.
