Bete XA low flow-rate atomising nozzles

Spray Nozzle Engineering has expanded its range of air atomising nozzles to include the Bete XA 10 /11 bodies. Bete XA nozzles are used in any application requiring a low flow-rate atomising or misting spray nozzle, including moistening dough, area humidification, coating and glazing.

Air atomising nozzles are used in a variety of precise coating and glazing processes, including chocolate candy coating and egg glazing. As the product is typically on a moving conveyor, flat fan nozzles are used if the motion is continuous, and full cone nozzles are used for stop/start operations. The XA 10 and 11 bodies feature an internal air cylinder for controlled on/off operation up to 3 cycles/s.

The nozzle system uses the energy in compressed air to produce evenly distributed, finely atomised full cone or flat fan spray in a range of spray angles at low flow rates. Liquid and air streams mix internally and are expelled through the same orifices.

XA nozzle applications include food, beverage, pharmaceutical and wine storage facilities. In a recent application, nozzle banks were installed in a wine storage humidity control system, calibrated and set to deliver the correct levels of water, ensuring consistent humidification.

The nozzles are available in custom materials for a large range of standard and specialised applications. Because the XA nozzles are a siphon-type misting nozzle, they are also suitable for sanitising sprays.
