Label printer with external control module

QuickLabel’s Kiaro! and Kiaro! D printers support loose-loop integration with automatic label applicators via the use of the External Pause Control module. This interface module can trigger the printer to print a batch of labels, pause or stop.

The module allows the label printer to be controlled via a simple pause/go pulse from a host label applicator system that can be mated with the printer by a system integrator.

The module also allows the end user to download a batch of labels and print/eject one label at a time using a button on the module. This preprogrammed module eliminates the need to read and understand the commands that are sent to the printer or the need to program the controller to send those commands at the right time and in the right sequence.

The module can be configured to print a single label at a time, or multiple labels (2, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100) or the entire print job.

Features include: integration with external devices such as a label applicator; LCD display acts as a local status monitor for printer activity, with over 65 status/warning/error messages; printer status can be reported through external hardware such as a light pole, audible alert or other device; multiple configurable internal or external logic levels support connection to a range of external devices.
